POOF!
Whoa! Long time no updates! What the what?!? It certainly been because there hasn't been any news worth mentioning. It's because there's been TOO MUCH news to take the time to mention the new news. Yeesh! In any case, here are the standouts:
Critter Splitters are currently only $1 each from Kidrobot! WHOA! Get them while you can! Otherwise, you'll be forced to pay my rip-off original price for them.
Interview with Brightestyoungthings.com about my installation at the University of Maryland.
I have 4 pieces in GR2's current show, "Year of the Rat" in Los Angeles. All 4 are acrylic on a rare black handmade paper from Thailand. The black ink on black paper is subtle, but turned out nice. The show runs until April 16th

MAGICAL MISTER LeTOUR!
BIG NEWS!!! I'm back on the East Coast of the US for a little while, with some HOT PLANS likely to melt this chilly coast!
The primary reason for the trip is to do an art installation at the University of Maryland’s art gallery to coincide with their "Sweet: The Graphic Beauty of the Contemporary Rock Poster" show. The show opens on February 6th from 5-7pm.GO HERE FOR MORE INFO.
I will also debut a new diptych screen print to coincide with the show. The two prints are each 36"x12", making the total piece when put together SIX FEET LONG. I'll also have some never before seen (except in Miami) new T-shirt designs available at the show too. Be sure to get to the opening early! Prints go on sale at the gallery at 11am.
And while I'm in Maryland, I'll be teaching a 2-day workshop on poster design at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center on Feb 2nd and 3rd. There are still a few spots left. SIGN UP NOW!
And finally, I'll be giving a talk at the Art Institute of Boston on Feb 13th at 4:30. The talk starts at 4:30pm at 700 Beacon Street, Room 214 in Kenmore Square. Best of all, it’s free and open to the public!

DOUBLE WHAMMY!
Have you seen Apple's new iPhone ad? The art I did for the Shins 'Chutes too Narrow' album gets some MAAAAJOR play in it. See for yourself here.
And speaking of that album, check out the flattering review Sleevage wrote about it. Very kind words and terrific photos.
The second thing worth mentioning is the Christmas tree site I worked on with Wieden+Kennedy's London office. I strongly suggest you go to their new Wieden's Wood site, plant your own tree (make sure to water it!), and decorate it with the bazillion (well, it's actually only 50, but it felt like a bazillion when I was drawing them) decorations that I created. In case you're interested, my tree's name is Stumpy.
Happy holidays!

FIXED SHIPPING, NEW PRINT, 2007 RAD
If you've tried ordering anything in the past several days, and were having a hard time choosing any shipping method other than Express, I'm happy to say it's fixed. At least I think it is. Drop me a line if you're having any problems ordering anything. Also, it's worth noting that although I'm now living in Japan, my online orders ship from Los Angeles.
And while I'm mentioning the shop, I should note the new letterpress print that is available. I'm INCREDIBLY happy with how they turned out, and highly suggest you see for yourself.
Besides that it's business as usual. Just wrapped up several projects, large and small, as well as a couple of group gallery shows (one in L.A. and one in Miami during Art Basel). I've also got a couple of new shirt designs that will be available soon. Sign up for my mailing list if you want to be the first to know when they go on sale.

TOKYO DRIFTER
I'm finally beginning to get settled here in Tokyo and am digging back into the pile of work that has accumulated during the move. MANY good things on the horizon!
But what about now?!? How about the new skateboard trucks I just for Grind King? Yessiree! Grind King went and figured out a way to put art on their trucks and they asked me to create some art for said trucks. You can get a set for yourself here!
Or the John Ralson CD I did for Vagrant Records? It just came out a few days ago, and it's GOOD! Check out his site and see for yourself.
Or the new Birthday Blob GiftCard I did for Target? I'm not even going to post a link for this one, because you're gonna have to see it for yourself. The actual gift card is FILLED WITH SLIME! And you can even pop the card open and take out the slime to impress that hot guy/gal you've been stalking this week (secret's out, pal!). I'm still now sure how the corporate big wigs at Target HQ let this one slip under their noses, but IT DID. Hurry up, 'cause they won't last long!

MOOOOOVE!
I've just moved to Tokyo and am in the process of getting situated. Phew! If you thought moving sucked, try it across an ocean! Please be forewarned that with all things considered, it may take me a bit longer to respond to emails (and take time zones into account too, bub!).
Just before I split, my show with Mark Bodnar and Nathan Stapley opened at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. See the work here.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the new show Yo Gabba Gabba if you get the chance. Not only does it slay every kid's show that has come before it (except for maybe that one episode of the Muppet Show with Alice Cooper), but I did an animation for it! I think it'll be in episode 6 or something. It's called "Hey! Come out and Play" and features music by The Little Ones. Print Magazine just did a big write-up on the show in their newest issue, which you can read here.
And speaking of magazines, there's a small write-up on me and the goggles I did for Giro in the newest issue of Skiing Magazine.

SHIRT SALE!!!!
Although last month's print sale is now over, there's now a T-shirt sale up! Very limited sizes and quantities are left, but get'em while they're hot! Sale ends Aug. 15th.
The mural I did for the side of the Andenken gallery in Denver is now up. I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out. Other people seem to like it too! Juxtapoz is one of them. As is Joyengine (scroll about a third down). The wall is 120' long and about 20' tall!
If you go to the Mtv website and click reload a few times, you'll probably be able to come across the header art I did for them. Or, you could cheat and see all their artist headers here.
I've got a 13 page (most of it are pictures...phew!) interview in the new issue of Candy. It's their 2nd Birthday Edition. My junk is in part one, but you should probably do yourself a favor and check out both parts.
Lastly, I'm currently working on stuff for my 3 person show (with Mark Bodnar and Nathan Stapley) at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. The show opens on September 6th.

PRINT SALE!!!!!!!!
Rad stuff on the horizon, but the rad stuff right in front of you is the first ever LeDouxville PRINT SALE! Yessss! Just about every print is on sale. But hurry up! By the end of the month, I'll be back to my total rip-off exorbitant prices you've come to love!
In other news, my two pieces in the current Gallery 1988 show "Back for Seconds" have sold. But never fear, li'l buddy, I'm going to be doing a 3 person show there in early September with a bunch more new work!

The slow boat
MANY rad things are on the horizon. Some rather far from now, some happening pretty soon. If you're signed up for my mailing list, you know a lot more than if you're not signed up for my mailing list (it's right there at the bottom of the main page, bub!).
ALSO, please note: The shipping crew is going on a 2 week safari starting today. Don't let that deter you from placing orders! It just means that your order will take a bit longer to get to you. There may even be treats involved for those who had to wait the longest. MAYBE!
Lastly, Rad Bones (my show at GRNY with Keith Shore) is on it's final two weeks. Don't miss it!
May 25, 2007
Now available!
Have I told you how great the Rad Bones opening was?!? Seriously great. There were movie stars, famous illustrators and designers, and just good vibes all around! If you were there, you know what I mean. If you weren't, you'll just have to imagine.
But never fear, computer nerd! All the work (as well as photos from the opening) is/are available online! No kidding! Photos of the opening can be seen here. Work can be viewed and purchased here.
And while I'm mentioning worthwhile ways to blow your fortunes, Beautiful/Decay has just produced the companion to my Giant Hand print. It's printed on custom cut, 40 needle knit, ultra soft shirts. AND THE IMAGE IS HUGE! Check it out here!
